In August, I ran my first half marathon—something I would not have been capable of three months ago. I finished it and did so in a respectable time for a first attempt. It was a step along the path to the bigger goal: my first marathon in December. Since I began training with Dean, I have significantly increased my speed and, while it was not my primary focus, I have noticed a positive change in my body tone. I now look forward to running and don’t hesitate at the thought of run 10km+ as I once would have. I have people following my marathon journey on my blog and Facebook; I was interviewed for an article on interval training in Bmagazine. It’s exciting to be providing inspiration to other people.
