"When I decided to take on the challenge of trekking the Kokoda Trail, I new that preparation, mental toughness and fitness had to be just right. I started from an average base level of fitness but need to 'up the intensity'. Dean is preparing me for the trek of a life time through developing a routine that is targeted specifically to getting me ready for the 96km hike. Our sessions are tough, they need to be, and include strength training, boxing & cardio. He has also helped me start to overcome an injury (what I thought was my knee), is actually caused by tight calves and hips!! through a program of stretches and physio. He works with me three mornings per week and pushes me beyond what I would normally do for myself. Training with Dean helps me remain focussed on my goal and that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything." Nic. |
